Elvis Polanco, MS, CPP, came to me in the spring of 2009 with an idea: he had spent many years of his life working for various companies in the field of protection management and had decided that he wanted to create his own company. Since he was betting quite a bit of money and time on the new company’s success, it was imperative that it have a website that could compete with the local competitors. He entrusted me with creating such a website, which finally launched on August 9, 2009. As the website provided the organization with a professional face, allowing viewers to easily look through courses and register online, Elvis was pleased to see customers registering for the classes he offered at launch. The website has grown with the business since then, adding new courses and other resources for customers.

The Deg Teg Mission Charitable Trust is a faith-based nonprofit organization that spreads spiritual knowledge and social services to the needy, with branches in a number of countries, including India and the United States. The founder asked me to create a cleanly designed website for a donor base that is increasingly asking to see an online presence prior to making a pledge. I created this website in XHTML/CSS, using Adobe Dreamweaver.

Previous Design

For reference, the previous website design is below. This design was created nearly a decade ago (roughly in the year 2000). While the site was great for its time, at least in the nonprofit sector, it failed to keep up with peer organizations over the years. My redesign enabled it to do so.
